UTICA, N.Y. (WTKV) - Napoli's Italian Bakery is celebrating their 50th anniversary. This year marks half a century of supplying tomato pies, italian bread, and specialty items to the community.

"It's hard to succeed in today's economy but to be around for 50 years is a real accomplishment, " said Jerry Zenzillo, Co-owner of Napoli's Bakery.

The family run shop was born in October of 1962 and while its location throughout the city has changed, it's mission has stayed the same: to provide local residents with delicious, fresh, homemade items, for the whole family to enjoy.

"We have the same ingredients my father had 50 years ago and my son Tony does all of the baking and he is really good at what he does and he just picked up the same tradition," said Zenzillo. "We hear from a lot from customers coming in the door that it's just like the way your father used to do 50 years ago and they like that."

Napoli's is currently running specials in honor of their 50th anniversary.
