Oneida County Jail inmate charged with assault of corrections officer

(WKTV) - An inmate at the Oneida County Jail has been charged with a felony in connection with the assault of a corrections officer, Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol said.

Vincent L. Wynder was charged with assault in the second degree, a Class D felony, and is scheduled to appear in New York Mills Village Court at a later date.

According to officials, Wynder head-butted a corrections officer in the face on Friday, causing the officer to lose a tooth and have a cut to his head.
