Power restored after widespread outages in Clinton
CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - Thousands of National Grid customers who were without power Tuesday afternoon have had their service restored, according to officials.
A spokesperson for National Grid says that nearly 2,800 customers were in the dark at the peak of the outage, caused by a circuit breaker at the Clinton substation around 3pm.
The hardest hit areas were the Village of Clinton with nearly 600 customers affected and the Town of Kirkland which saw nearly 1,500 in the dark.
