RFA and Proctor voted into Tri Valley, for now
WKTV - For several years, Proctor and RFA athletic programs have been applying for entrance into the Tri Valley League. On Thursday, the Section III Athletic Council took up the matter again and this time, just like in 2009, they approved the two schools enrty into the Tri Valley League.
However, just like in 2009, the league will appeal to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association within the next 10 days. RFA is approved for all programs except baseball, softball and field hockey. Proctor is all in except for baseball, and boys and girls basketball. Those teams would play CNYCL.
If the appeal is shot down by the state, Proctor and Rome would begin play in the Tri Valley starting this fall. WKTV will follow this process until it is resolved for the upcoming school year.
