ORISKANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Metlife in Oriskany has been under construction for the past two years, but on Tuesday, all the work done by local contractors in that time was officially unveiled.

The $15 million renovation includes a new air conditioning system and new lighting, along with a revamping of every workstation.

"It's very important to have a work environment that people are comfortable in," said Heidi Colburn, Assistant Vice President at Metlife. "That's ergonomically effective for our people and also for the presentation. We have a lot of customers come to our site to see us, hear what we have to offer. So having state of the art technology is key to demonstrate our commitment to this area and our customers."

Metlife received an award for energy savings in an existing building because of the work done.
