Round three of Turning Stone Championship underway

VERNON, N.Y. (WKTV) - The third round of play of the Turning Stone Resort Championship is taking place Saturday at the Atunyote Golf Resort. Fans and players have taken to the course on what's expected to be a great day for golf.

Analysts say the blue skies and cool air should help keep players' scores low. The field was cut after Friday's round so each pairing will start from the first tee.

Friday's leader Alex Cejka will work to hold off the players directly behind him, Chris Tidland and Rory Sabbatini. Cejka shot a 68 during Friday's round, dropping his overall score to ten under par and taking a one stroke lead over Tidland and Sabbatini.

The second round Friday saw the elimination of 15-year-old Gavin Hall. The crowd favorite from Rochester had several hundred people following him hole-to-hole. Tournament director Ann Spencer said it was great to see the teen start his pro golf career at the Atunyote Golf Course.
