MARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - A softball tournament was held, Saturday, in honor of a Schuyler man killed in a car accident, just two months ago.
The first Scott Shepardson Memorial Softball Tournament was held at the 12-North sports bar in Marcy.
Hundreds came out to Mulaney Road where they enjoyed food, music and a great game of softball.
All proceeds from the event went to the Keys Program.
Scott Shepardson was killed when he lost control of his vehicle striking a utility pole on Cosby Manor Rd.
Saturday's softball tournament was aimed to continue his legacy.
"Everyone having a good time, embracing each other, the connection between music and children and family, I think that's what were trying to do," said Joanne Rotach, event co-host. "Everyone is having a good time."

Those who attended and knew Scott said that he would have been thankful for the event.
