State Police: Human remains in Little Falls could be missing man

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - New York State Police have not yet confirmed the gender of the human remains found outside an abandoned home on Wednesday afternoon, but say it may be the body of a missing man.

Officials say it is possible that the remains are of a missing elderly man who had not been seen since between 2004 and 2006. At that time, the man was under the care of others in the area, according to police.

The remains were found in the backyard of a home at 59 1/2 Flint Avenue. Neighbors say the home had been abandoned for the past few years.

The scene is still under investigation and autopsy results may be complete by Thursday afternoon.

Authorities ask if anyone has any information about the discovery to call 315-366-6000.
