NEWPORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - A home on West Street was completely destroyed by fire on Sunday.
Fire crews responded to the scene around 3:30 p.m.
Flames broke out in the front half of the building and quickly spread throughout the main home, which sustained very heavy damage.
According to the homeowners, the fire rekindled overnight, destroying whatever was left.
No injuries were reported, according to the fire chief.
The Mayor of Newport tells NEWSChannel 2 that a boil water advisory is in effect until further notice. Lower water pressure will be experienced because of the heavy reliance on hydrant water.
Poland assisted Newport at the scene.
