Syracuse's first ACC men's basketball schedule announced

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Syracuse Orange's inaugural ACC season schedule is finally set as it was announced by the league, Thursday.

The team will play an 18-game slate against conference opponents that will bring national powerhouses Duke, North Carolina, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh to the Carrier Dome this year.

With this schedule in place, the Orange will face every conference opponent at least once, with Boston College, Duke, Miami, and Pittsburgh on the schedule twice.

Syracuse will also be featured on national television for multiple conference and non-conference games, starting on December 28, when they will appear on CBS for its non-conference matchup against former Big East rival, Villanova.

The Dome will be featured on ESPN or ESPN2 for 5 home games, with the biggest coming when the Orange host Duke on February 1st, as ESPN College GameDay Covered by State Farm heads to Central New York to televise the matchup.

'Cuse's first ACC game will take place on January 4, in the Carrier Dome, against Miami.

The non-conference schedule has also been released, but a complete listing of game times and television assignments have not yet been announced.
