(WKTV) - A 24-year-old Utica man was arrested Tuesday after police spotted him riding a bike with a flat-screen TV propped on the handlebars, Utica police say.

Jean Nievers-Molina Carlos faces felony charges of second-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny charges.

According to police, around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, an officer on patrol noticed a man on a bicycle riding down Oneida Street with a flat-screen television propped on the handlebars. The officer stopped to speak with the man and learned he was also in possession of several sets of commemorative coins, as well as other items.

The man was transported to the police station to speak with investigators. During that time, a resident on Ferris Avenue called police to report a home burglary. In addition to the coins and television, the man was also found to be in possession of remote controls, power cords, a DVD player, a TV wall mount, headphones, jewelry, wrench and a watch. All of these items were found to be missing from the Ferris Avenue home, officials say.
