UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica teenager is charged after an incident that led to the evacuation of the North Utica Walmart on Friday night. Utica Police say at 8:10 p.m. Friday night the store phone rang and a male on the other end said he had a gun. The employee that answered the phone was concerned the call came from someone inside the store and contacted police. Officers evacuated the store and searched the building before giving the all clear. Police were able to determine the call came from a home. Tyler Beniot, 17, of Utica is charged with falsely reporting an incident.
