ILION, N.Y. (WKTV) - Three teens have been charged in connection to fires that were set at the former Duofold factory in the Village of Ilion.

Fire crews responded to the old Duofold site around 9 p.m. Monday, May 20, where they found several small fires set inside the building. The fires were contained and there was no major damage, but it's not the first time in recent memory that firefighters responded to a scene like this.

On March 20, crews responded to the former factory in the late afternoon where they again found several small fires that had ben set inside. Officials at that time said accelerant had been used and they could see the pour patterns.

On Tuesday, May 21 Ilion Police said three teens - one 16 year old male, one 18 year old male and one 18 year old female - have all been charged with third-degree criminal trespass.

The 18 year old male and female were released on appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Ilion Court on June 13.

The 16 year old male was arraigned in the Village of Ilion Court on the criminal trespass charge as well as an active arrest warrant for two counts of making graffiti and two counts of criminal mischief. These charges were unrelated to the Duofold fire investigation, police said. He was released on his own recognizance.

Police said the names of the individuals were not being released due to their ages.
