Two Sears employees charged after investigation

New Hartford, NY (WKTV) -   The New Hartford Police Department arrested of two Sears employees following an investigation into the ongoing theft of merchandise that had occurred over a span of approximately nine months.

Forystt S. Marshall, 19 of Clark Mills and Kevin A. Gomez, 20 of Utica are alleged to have worked together to take over $1300.00 in merchandise from the store, while they were employed there.  Sears Loss Prevention reported that the thefts began in November of 2012 and continued through early August of 2013.  Police were able to identify Marshall and Gomez as the suspects, and subsequently charged the two with Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, an E Felony. 

Some of the stolen property was able to be recovered by Police.  Marshall and Gomez were released on Appearance Tickets returnable to the Town of New Hartford Court on a later date. The investigation is ongoing and additional criminal charges are possible.
