Utica woman charged after joint agency drug bust

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica woman is facing numerous charges after a drug bust by numerous law enforcement agencies.

On May 27 , 2011 the Utica Police Department's Metro Unit, aided by the U.S. Marshal's Service NY/NJ Regional Task Force, Oneida County Drug Task Force and Utica/New Hartford Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a Pellettieri Ave address in Utica.

The search warrant was a result of an investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics.

Jennifer M. Lugo, 31, of that address was arrested and charged for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.

During the search warrant a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, scales, and drug packaging, and money were seized.
