WKTV Morning Anchor among participants getting ready to "Dance the Night Away"
CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - It is almost time to "Dance the Night Away" for the benefit of The Good News Center, but before the participants hit the dance floor for real, they held a quasi-dress rehearsal at the Lutheran Home in Clinton on Tuesday.
WKTV Morning Anchor Jenel Boston and her dance partner, Cameron, spent the afternoon at the Lutheran Home showing off their tango moves.
Dance Instructor Gina Esposito says this is a favorite among audiences because of its passion and drama, adding that the local benefit show coming up in February is much more interesting than the dance shows you see on television.
"It's more exciting because you know the people," Esposito said. "You know they are telling the truth when they say they have never danced before, and they rise to the occasion. All of the money goes to the Good News Center, a place to strengthen marriage and what better way than through dancing."
The big event takes place on February 9 at Hart's Hill Inn in Whitesboro.
You can get tickets by calling the Good News Center at 315-735-6210.
