Who has the best view at Turning Stone Championship?

By By ANDREW DONOVAN

VERNON, N.Y. (WKTV) - The third round of the Turning Stone Resort Championship wrapped up Saturday and not matter where you seem to view the tournament from, you can get a good view. But, some are certainly better than others.

Spectators can stand around the ropes or even set up lawn chairs at a hole to watch different plays make the rounds. Some get to the course really early and set up camp for the day. Ann Foy of Binghamton was first to get to the perfect spot on the 18th green.

Some argue that volunteers and tournament employees might get the best vantage point with inside the ropes access. Chuck McMann, the tournament announcer, gets to see every pairing tee off. He did admit he'd prefer to see the amazing golfing taking place on the putting green.

Some spectators don't stay in one place, but walk the course all day. They find their favorite player and follow them hole to hole. Ed Donahue of Oriskany, says following players is the best way to take in the tournament.

In fact, Donahue and his son Griffin followed player Scott McCarron all the way, and got an unexpected reward. McCarron gave Griffin his golf ball and his golf glove.

The fourth and final round of the Turning Stone Resort Championship happens Sunday. The weather is expected to be beautiful for all the spectators to be out again.
