Woman killed in Vernon accident after car strikes tree

VERNON, N.Y.(WKTV) - State Police say a woman was killed Thursday afternoon in an accident on Bleeker Road in the Town of Vernon.

Sara Sreca, 37, of Van Epps Street was extricated from the vehicle, but then pronounced dead on the scene after the accident just before 4pm Thursday.

State Police say Sreca was driving north on Bleeker Road. They say she rounded a curve and the vehicle slid, then traveled east off the roadway, hitting a tree on the driver's side.
