Transformation of Martin Luther King Elementary pitched during meeting

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A plan for the transformation of the Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School was presented during the Utica City School District Board of Education meeting Tuesday night.

The plan calls for several changes and strategies aimed at increasing the test performance of the students. Also, the plan calls for the use of a $4.5 million dollar grant to help fund some of the strategies.

Earlier this month, the district was forced to let the school's principal go because of the school's poor state test performance.
