Special events on tap for Whitesboro bicentennial celebration

WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Village of Whitesboro celebrated a very big birthday Tuesday. It's 200th birthday.

Dozens of residents and officials showed up to the Bicentennial Proclamation Reception Program to help the village honor its special day.

"If I known it was this big maybe held it somewhere else," said village mayor Raymond Daviau. "I didn't realize that we were gonna have this many here."

There will be more Bicentennial Celebrations taking place this year.

Parade: 1:30 p.m. June 9 Watkins St. to Village Green

Farmer's Market- Special Bicentennial Theme: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. June 10.

Concert in the Park: 6 pm. to 9 p.m. June 12, Bicentennial Special Featuring One Sweet World.

Historical Society Special Bicentennial Open House: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 15 Municipal Building 10 Moseley Street.
