Gaynor Davis, 48, of Utica was arrested when Utica police officers responded in regards to a child abuse investigation.

It is alleged that Davis recklessly cut the mouth of her 16 year old son, when she kicked a television down a stairwell in the direction of the youth as he walked down the stairs. The 16 year old was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeths Hospital for medical treatment.

She was charged with
*Assault in the third degree, and
*Endangering the welfare of a child.
