UTICA – The Athletic Director and Head Coach of Girls Basketball at Notre Dame High School have resigned.

John Deperno, the long time A.D. at N.D. has submitted his resignation to school officials. John was a standout football player at Notre Dame and was the Head Coach of the N.D. golf team, in addition to his duties as Athletic Director. He will stay on at the school as a teacher.

Bill Farley had been the Girls Basketball Head Coach for 15 seasons. Under his guidance, the Lady Jugglers had won many Tri Valley League and Section III titles. As a player, Farley was a star guard and holds the school record for most points in a game. Tom Hynes, Farley’s assistant coach, has reportedly also resigned.

The school’s principal, Sister Anna Mae Collins, confirmed the resignation of the two and said that no replacement for either Deperno or Farley has been named.

They ran him out of there......what a terrible thing. The school is shrinking so fast it does not look good at all. He was forced to resign, period. And this came from the top leader.
