West Canada Valley tops Little Falls in overtime

WEST CANADA, N.Y. (WKTV) - It wasn't the prettiest game ever played, mostly because of the terrible weather conditions. However, West Canada Valley pulled off the home win on homecoming weekend, under the lights, topping Little Falls 32-26 in overtime.

The teams exchanged their share of fumbles in this game. Little Falls capitalized on a first quarter turnover to go ahead 6-0. However, after a bad snap on a Mounties punt, the Indians proceeded to rifle off 14 points. Nate George put them ahead with a five yard run in the second as West Canada took a 14-6 lead into the half.

Third quarter the teams traded touchdowns. In fact in that third quarter, Nate George recovered a fumble for one of the Indians touchdowns. After a Little Falls fourth quarter score to tie the game at 26, George would score the game winning touchdown in overtime to seal the deal. George finished with 98 yards rushing on the night.

West Canada improves to 1-2 in the league 2-3 overall and right now has the final playoff spot. Little Falls drops to 0-3 in the league, 0-5 overall.
