Raiders outrun Henninger in section semis

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Jayson Jackson and Wendell Wright came up big in Section III Class AA Boys Basketball Semifinals, leading Proctor to a 61-53 victory over Henninger Saturday at RFA.  Jackson had 17 points for the Raiders, who came back from a 41-36 deficit at the end of the third quarter to outscore the Black Knights 25-12 in the fourth.  Wendell Wright also added 13 for Proctor (17-3), though he had to watch the last few minutes from the bench, after fouling out.

Brandon Hanks led Henninger in scoring, with 17 points.

The Raiders, who lost in this round last year, advance to the Section III AA championship, next Sunday at the Utica Memorial Auditorium, to face #1 C-NS.
