Bills open training camp

By Sports WKTV

PITTSFORD, N.Y. - Training camp is underway for the Buffalo Bills and they already have an injury.  Linebacker Chris Kelsay is out indefinitely, after leaving practice with his right shoulder wrapped in ice.

Trent Edwards is the starting quarterback for now, taking snaps with the first team on Thursday.  He said losing the starting job last season helped put things in perspective.

"I feel like I still have a lot to learn, a long way to go, but I must be doing something right in the ota's and minicamps," Edwards said. "It's nice to be appreciated for what you've done in the past, but that's in the past, now we have to grow off that and get ready for the Dolphins, Week One."

New head coach Chan Gailey said he would establish a pecking order, but also said every position is up for grabs.

"Competition is not over, anywhere. Competition is always open. We'll continue to evaluate, continue to work, we'll continue to see if somebody does great or somebody does poorly, it's up to them," Gailey told reporters.
