Indians spread wealth to beat CVA

NEWPORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - The West Canada boys basketball team beat CVA 71-40 Friday night, thanks to a balanced scoring attack in which four different players reached double figures.

Ryan Grogan led the Indians with 13, while Mike Sternberg had 12 and Jordan Yaworski and Alex Williams each picked up ten.

West Canada came back from an early 11-3 deficit to take a 21-19 lead at the end of the first quarter, but extended that to 36-25 at the half, outscoring the Thunder 15-6 in the second quarter.  After a 16-5 third, West Canada's lead became 52-30.

The Indians improve to 7-2 on the season, while CVA fell to 1-10.
