Camden upends New Hartford


NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Camden Blue Devils marched into Don Edick Field and marched out victorious on Friday night winning 37-20.

For the second straight week, the Spartans had to play from behind as Camden scored on a touchdown run from Joe O'Rourke and a pass from O'Rourke to Jake Clark. The Spartans came back to tie the game before halftime on a touchdown pass from Vinny Servadio to Derek German and a two yard run by Mike Szczesniak.

However, with the game tied at 14 in the third quarter, Camden took their first possession of the third quarter in for a score on a Kevin Davis. New Hartford answered on a Servadio touchdown. Servadio rushed for 108 yards on the night.The fourth quarter though belonged to Camden.

David Zeiders kicked a 39 yard field which would end up being the game winning score. Davis and Clark both scored late in the fourth for insurance. Clark had 125 all purpose yards. The win improves Camden to 3-1 overall, 2-0 in the league. New Hartford drops to 3-1, 1-1 in the league.
