Clinton wins at New Hartford


NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Clinton hockey team won at rival New Hartford Wednesday, shutting out the Spartans at the Rec Center, 3-0.  It was the second time in just four days the two teams met, after New Hartford beat Clinton 8-1 Saturday in the Championship Game of RFA's Thanksgiving Tournament.

Joe Bonanza got the shutout for the Warriors, saving 26 shots.  Mike Cuchiarale had 24 saves in the Spartan net.

Damien Cannistra broke the scoreless tie in the second period, giving Clinton a 1-0 lead as freshman Matt Orlando fed him a perfect pass.

Lucas Hameline and Tom Monaghan both scored in the third for the Warriors.
