Colgate rings in new football regime

HAMILTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - It's a new era at Colgate, with Dick Biddle stepping down and former assistant Dan Hunt taking the reigns.  Both coaches spoke at a special press conference Tuesday at the historic Colgate Inn.

Biddle is retiring after 18 years as the head coach of the Raiders and a record of 137-73, a Colgate and Patriot League record.  He won seven league titles and five coach of the year awards.

Hunt has been on Biddle's staff from the beginning, in 1996.  He has been the Offensive Coordinator the last seven years, as well as serving as Associate Head Coach the last four.

In Biddle's final season, the Raiders finished at just 4-8, 3-2 in the conference.
