WATERVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Dolgeville football team won a share of the Class D East title Friday night, with a 49-15 win at Waterville-Madison in the final week of the regular season. The Blue Devils were led by Devin Coonradt, who gained 193 yards on just nine carries and scored twice, as well as Jason Nastovski, who picked up 141 yards on 16 carries and scored three times.
Coonradt was injured early in the third quarter and left the game on a stretcher after having shoulder and arm issues.
Dolgeville (6-1, 5-1 D East) finished with 443 total yards, all of it on the ground. The Blue Devils finished tied with Herkimer and West Canada Valley, though Herkimer won the tiebreaker, which was first half points against the other two teams.
Waterville (4-3, 3-3 D East) was led by QB John Piersma, who threw for 119 yards and a touchdown, while running for another.
