By MIKE LEVIN

Patrick Corbin, a former pitcher for the MVCC Hawks, was named as a National League All-Star Saturday.  Corbin is now 10-1 on the season for the Arizona Diamondbacks, after a victory over Colorado Sunday.

The 2007 graduate of C-NS who played for MV in 2008 has an ERA of 2.40 and a WHIP of 0.98, while striking out 99 batters in 123.2 innings pitched.

Corbin tied a career high with ten strikeouts Sunday against Colorado, recording his first victory since June 2nd.  His first loss came this past Tuesday, at Citi Field, where he'll compete for the NL next Tuesday.
