Gaetano's bat lifts Utica over Little Falls

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Post started off their run in the District V playoffs with a 13-3 romp over Little Falls on Wednesday night. The game was shortened to 8 innings by the 10 run mercy rule.

Utica Post was led by Vin Gaetano. He smacked two, 2-run home runs bringing in four RBI's. Gary McConnell had two hits and two RBI's. Utica as a team pounded out 14 hits. All nine Utica batters had at least one hit. On the mound, Ryan Donovan went the distance striking out six on four hits.

Utica will now face Ilion on Thursday at 6pm at DeLutis Field. Little Falls plays Smith Post Thursday at 10am at Delutis.
