Clinton beats rival HP

CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - In a battle of former Tri-Valley League and now CSC Division I rivals, Clinton defeated Holland Patent 66-62 Friday night.  Mike Hayduk led the Warriors with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Hayduk now has 101 board this season, good for third in Section III.

Hayduk is also third in three pointers made, as his two Friday gave him 37 for the season.  He also had two blocks, bringing his section leading total to 31.

Malaquias Canery led all scorers with 23 for the Warriors, hitting 15 of 16 free throws, while Mike Strumpfler had 15 for the Golden Knights.

With the win, Clinton improves to 10-3 on the season, 4-2 in league play.  HP falls to 8-4 overall, 4-3 in the league.
