Passalacqua takes Level 9 crown at Leatherstocking

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - McKenna Passalacqua of Whitesboro took home the all-around Level 9 title, while her Valley Gymnastics teammate, Jensen Todd of New Hartford, finished second at the 27th Annual Leatherstocking Gymnastics Meet Saturday.  The event, usually held at the Aud, was held for the first time at the Jorgensen Center at MVCC.

Passalacqua finished first in floor exercises and vault.

Holland Patent senior Meghan Pflieger, who will be going to UNH next fall, finished third in Level 10 in her final Leatherstocking meet, but first in floor exercises.

In Level 7, Isha Smith-Ramakrishnan won the all-around, while also taking first in the bars and balance beam.  Kylie Trunfio was second in the all-around.  Valley finished third as a team.

In Level 6, Emma McQueen was the all-around champion, while finishing first on the beam.  Marissa Burke was second in the all-around, finishing first on the bars.  Valley finished second as a team.

On Sunday, Olivia McCoy won the all-around at Level 5, also finishing first in vault and bars.

Kelly Oshins and Megan Chistensen also won all-arounds on the second day of the meet.
