Herkimer takes round two with Little Falls

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Herkimer Magicians got revenge on rival Little Falls Friday night, winning 42-8 in the first round of the Section III Class C-2 playoffs.  Just six days earlier, the Mounties upset Herkimer in the final game of the regular season for both teams.  In that game, Herkimer played without several suspended players.

Matt Borek scored both of the Magicians' first two touchdowns, the first on a 14 yard run in the first quarter and the second on a 23 yard reception thrown from Austin Mills.  Borek rushed 29 times for 131 yards.  Dan Appley rushed for an 80 yard touchdown and also caught two touchdowns.

Herkimer advances to the quarterfinals, where they'll meet Frankfort-Schuyler at a neutral site.
