West Canada blanks Morrisville on homecoming night

NEWPORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - The West Canada Valley football team beat Morrisville-Eaton/Hamilton 25-0 Friday night on homecoming night for the Indians.  The team always brings in lights for the occasion and this year it followed a huge 26-7 win for West Canada six days earlier at rival Dogleville.

Ryan Moody ran 18 times for 115 yards and a pair of touchdowns, adding 67 yards and another TD through the air.  Treyton Borden had 91 yards on 15 carries and a score.

In the game, West Canada (5-2, 5-1 D East) had 440 yards, while only allowing Morrisville 70.  The Indians tied Herkimer and Dolgeville for the D East title, though Herkimer will receive the top spot from the league in sectionals on the second tiebreaker, which was first half points against both teams.
