Mills hangs on after tough challenge from ODY

NEW YORK MILLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - The N.Y. Mills boys basketball team faced a tough challenge from Owen D. Young Monday night at Beekman Gym, but held on to win 61-58.  The Marauders led 20-5 at the end of the first quarter and 44-15 at halftime, but the Wildcats came back to tie it with a minute left.

J.T. Ross hit a three pointer to put Mills up to stay.  Ross finished with 10 points, while Nick Comenale led all scorers with 27.

Kyle Ferguson led ODY with 16 points, while Alec Snyder had 15.

The Marauders improved to 10-1 on the season and will host Remsen Friday night.
