Girls Basketball:Mohawk gets past Sauquoit

SAUQUOIT VALLEY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Mohawk outscored Sauquoit 11-2 in the fourth quarter en route to the 40-34 win on Thursday night.

The game was tied at 16 at the half and Sauquoit led by three after three. However, the Lady Indians could not keep pace in the fourth managing just two points.

Mohawk's Lexi Johnson led her team with 11 points while Nicole Landry chipped in nine. Sauquoit was led by Whitney Geglia12 points. Vanessa Jecko and Jessica Jecko had seven each.

Mohawk improves to 2-0, Sauquoit is now 1-1.
