Mt Markham tops Little Falls

By MIKE LEVIN

WEST WINFIELD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Mount Markham field hockey team pushed their record above the .500 mark Wednesday, after beating Little Falls in an exciting 2-1 finish.  Rain was falling outside of Mount Markham high school during the game, but that didn't stop these two teams from putting on a great performance.

Emily Buell scored the game's first goal in the first half, to put the Lady Mustangs on top, but just before halftime, Miranda Salamone got the equalizer for the Lady Mounties, to tie it at one at the break.  Courtney Bastian then scored the game winner in the second half.

With the win, Mt Markham improves to 3-2 on the season, while Little Falls fell to 3-2.
