Indians bid for another Dome trip falls short

By MIKE LEVIN

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Oneida football team was hoping to make their third straight trip to the Carrier Dome for the Section III Class B final, but their hopes were dashed in the semifinals, as they fell 21-15 to Chittenango Friday night.  The Indians came back from a 21-0 deficit to climb back in the game late, but couldn't get the ball back in the game's final minutes.

Down 21-0 in the third quarter, Dylan Cafalone scored a short touchdown to finally get Oneida on the board.  Cafalone came up huge late in the game, as he broke an 89 yarder for another touchdown that looked as if it would get the Indians back in it.  But the defense couldn't hold the Bears, who ran out the clock.

Chittenango advances to meet Cazenovia in the Class B section final next Saturday at the Dome.
