Whitesboro gets first win with NH game coming

WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Whitesboro football team finally got their first win of the 2013 season, 26-7 over Oswego at Chiz Frye Field Friday night.  Not a moment too soon either for the Warriors, who face a red hot New Hartford team, who have won four straight games, next week.

In their previous four games, Whitesboro had lost all of them by a combined 13 points.  In Friday's game, however, they took control in the third quarter and never looked back.

Leading it 12-7 after halftime, Mike DiVicarro nearly broke a long TD run, then was stopped at the one yard line on the next play.  QB Bodhi Forbes scored on the next play to give Whitesboro (1-4) a 19-7 lead.
