Orange team beats Blue team in Syracuse spring scrimmage
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Syracuse Orange football team won and lost Saturday inside the Carrier Dome, depending on which side of the field they were on. It was the Syracuse "Spring Game," where the team split into two and scrimmaged each other, giving the public an idea of how the team will be this season, especially featuring a new head coach after the move to the Buffalo Bills by former head coach Doug Marrone. The highlight of the day came in the first quarter when Terrel Hunt hit Jarrod West for a 49-yard touchdown. Head coach Scott Shafer addressed the crowd before the game. He said he was a little disappointed in the turnout, and hopes more people will show up for the regular season. The final score 27 for the "Orange Team," 7 for the "Blue Team."
