WKTV - Rome Free Academy and Proctor High School have petitioned the Section III Athletic Council about gaining acceptance into the Tri-Valley League again. A ruling is schedule to be handed down on Thursday, June 23rd.
It's the fifth time the Mohawk Valley's two biggest schools have tried to get into the TVL, whose member schools aren't too keen on the idea. That's because the Raiders and Black Knights have many more students from which to choose their teams. Proctor and RFA are hoping to play a local schedule, which would given them a much easier travel schedule.
Both schools played independent schedules this last year in every sport except football and hockey.
