Ruling allows Proctor, RFA in TV-L

By MIKE LEVIN

WKTV - The NYSPHSAA upheld Section III's decision Friday to allow Proctor and RFA into the Tri-Valley League.

The TVL had appealed the June ruling in hopes of keeping the Mohawk Valley's two biggest schools, both of which are AA, from competing against smaller Class B schools, most of whom make up the league.

The only exceptions to that were Whitesboro and New Hartford, who were accepted to the league when they were Class B themselves.

Although the state intervened, not every team from Proctor and RFA will compete in the TVL.  For instance, neither Raider basketball teams will make the move.
