Syracuse will face 1-seed Indiana in Sweet 16
The Syracuse Orange will take on 1-seed Indian in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Syracuse defeated 12-seed California 66-60 in the second round Saturday night at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. Indiana defeated Temple 58-52 on Sunday. The Sweet 16 game will take place Thursday in Washington, DC. CBS Sports will televise the game, channel 5 and 855 in high definition. Tip-off is The Orange are 3-1 in their all-time history versus Indiana. In 2012, SU made it to the Elite Eight, falling to Ohio State. In 2011, they did not get past the second round, as they did Saturday. In both 2009 and 2010, Syracuse was defeated in the Sweet 16. Syracuse's Michael Carter-Williams had 12 points Saturday. He may have added distraction this week, with the news that his family home in Massachusetts caught fire the same time he was playing on the court. No injuries were reported.
