UTICA, N.Y. - The Utica College men's hockey team earned its first-ever bid into the NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Tournament on Sunday night when the selection committee released the field of 11 teams. The Pioneers earned a first round bye and will host either UMASS Dartmouth or Bowdoin in the quarterfinals on Saturday, March 9th at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. Tickets will go on sale Monday morning at 12 p.m. at the Auditorium Box Office. Fans can also purchase tickets online when they are released (Click Here). Game time is currently to be determined.
The Pioneers, ranked No. 4 in the most recent D3hockey.com national poll and No. 9 in the USCHO.com poll, finished the regular season with a program-best 20-5-1 overall record on its way to earning a share of the ECAC Men's West Conference regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. UC lost in the first round of the conference tournament to fourth-seeded Manhattanville, 2-1, in overtime last weekend at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
UMass.-Dartmouth and Bowdoin will play in a first round contest on Wednesday to determine which team will travel to Utica.

• As this is an NCAA tournament event, ECAC Playoff Vouchers that are in Season Ticket booklets WILL NOT be honored for NCAA games.
