Whitesboro hangs on to beat Proctor


UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Whitesboro girls basketball team held off a late rally to beat Proctor 50-46 in the first round of the Lady Raiders' Tournament Saturday night.  The Lady Warriors led by double digits before Proctor came back and pulled within two.

Jen Deuel led Whitesboro with 24 points, also adding six assists.  Imani Pierce had 12 for the Proctor high.

The Warriors advance to the championship game, Sunday at 2:30 against Gates-Chili, while the Lady Raiders face C-NS in the consolation at one.
