Andre Dawson is the lone 2010 electee from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America vote in January.
Dawson, age 56, was named to eight All-Star teams and won eight Gold Glove Awards in the outfield during his 21-year big league career. Dawson won the 1977 National League Rookie of the Year Award with the Expos and was named the 1987 NL Most Valuable Player while with the Cubs.
Dawson was named on 77.9 percent of ballots cast by BBWAA members.
