Hamilton Women Stay Hot vs. Union

The fifth-ranked Hamilton women's lacrosse team made it 15 wins in a row at home on Saturday, winning a top 10 matchup against No. 8 Union 10-7.

As one might expect from the rankings, the game was a back-and-forth battle. After Hamilton went up 2-1 in the first half, Union came back to take a 3-2 lead, but the Lady Continentals came back themselves to lead 4-3 at halftime.

In the second half, Hamilton stretched its lead to 6-3, then Union scored three straight goals to tie it 6-6 with 18:04 left. But the Lady C's were anything but fazed, scoring three straight goals of their own to pull ahead for good.

Kaillie Briscoe and Nicole Tetreault paced Hamilton with two goals and one assist each, while Keri Messa led Union with three goals and an assist.

The victory improves Hamilton to 10-1 overall and 4-0 in Liberty League play; Union drops to 8-1 (5-1).
