MVCC Softball Splits With Jamestown

Sports WKTV

The Mohawk Valley Community College softball team got a challenge on Sunday, splitting a doubleheader with visiting Jamestown Community College.

In game one, MVCC's offense was shut down in a 5-0 loss, and game two did not start out well either, as the Jayhawks toook a 3-0 lead in their first at-bat. The Hawks responded quickly, though, putting up eight runs in the bottom of the 1st inning and cruising from there to an 11-3 win. RFA graduate Allison Kozick led the game two charge, going 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI.

MVCC, ranked No. 4 in the country in junior college fast-pitch Division III, is now 20-7.
